Meals

52% of Cincinnati’s children live in poverty, which is the second highest in the nation. 74% of those children are African American. Read more about this in The State of Black Cincinnati published by The Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio. Whole Again is focused on providing meals to meet the basic needs of our children in order to enrich the whole child. We begin our meal service program in June and continue into August. We provide a safety net for these children. Our work, along with other agencies, is vital to meeting the nutritional need of the children we serve.

Whole Again provides freshly cooked meals each day, Monday-Friday. We are working with organizations like, La Soupe and Just Q’in to provide late afternoon meals. Many of these children may not eat another meal after they leave our program sites. Whole Again is working tirelessly to raise awareness and funding to provide meals for the children over the weekend.
